Recently , i am living in Heyuan, and interested in Heyuan culture, often wonder what Heyuan students like, what they are doing, that s why i am in this forum.
i was glad it had an "English corner" board, i often visit it , read what new articles were posted on.
disappointed, only old articles here, all were posted several years ago, most of them were posted by administrator "o6漷虢郳9o". I highly respect what o6漷虢郳9o has done here even without any visitor reading. but she kept on posting and replying.
I am disappointed and worrying about Heyuan students. In high school board, "Who is the best beautiful girl in grade 1", "Falling in love" this kind of articles are clearly popular.
of course, i dont object to students talking about love, just tell you English is as important as love.
Since China has joined WTO, more and more foreigners come to China, more and more occasion meeting foreigners. it s ineluctable meeting foreigners, online, at university, company, so on. talking to an American, a Canadian, an England, even Korean, Japanese, which language can we speak? only English.
